| Frequently-asked questions > Post-Gazette wraparounds |
| Q. What are they? |
A. "Wraparound" is an industry term referring to a small bonus section that sheathes -- i.e., is wrapped around -- the regular edition of a newspaper. It's one piece of newsprint, folded to make four pages.
|
| Q. How were they distributed? |
A. Wraparounds are most commonly issued at major events as an enticement to buy that day's paper. The wraparound is affiliated with the event itself -- usually a concert or a sporting event.
|
| Q. What makes them so special? |
A. You had to be there: wraparounds were only available at the events for which they were issued. Also, think of it this way: ever read the newspaper on the morning's subway commute? Or reach down after the game for your program, only to find it trampled and sodden with beer? That might shed a little light on how hard these are to find in quality condition.
|
| Q. How do you ship them? |
A. We ship all newspaper products flat, folded carefully on the original crease, with considerable cardboard protection; occasionally, we'll roll them and ship in a crush-proof tube. We send them first-class U.S. Mail.
